Job description

Working as part of the tender team to win new contracts through provision of high quality written content within pre-qualification and tender submissions, supporting documentation and the maintenance up to date market information within our BIMS (Boskalis Intelligence Management System) database.

Main tasks:

• Delivery of tailored proposals, meeting, without fail, internal and client deadlines.

• Ability to work within the wider tender team, which may be based in several locations, providing a contribution to the overall tender process.

• Develop and support the culture of collaboration and commitment in delivering quality services and outcomes, including assisting with additional team tasks during busy periods.

• Assist with research which may be required to compile a written submission.

• Using innovative thinking to ensure the promotion of the key items / issues within the tender proposal.

• Ability to assimilate technical and operational information into clear, concise bid and proposal documentation

• Understanding of the Boskalis Westminster corporate drivers, incorporating them, where relevant, within tender proposals.

• Assist with the completion of Pre-Qualification documentation as required.

• Development and updating of company Project Sheets, CV’s and other supporting bid documentation.

• Maintenance and review of the BWL BIMS data management system, enabling the BWL Management to have a greater under standing of the expected market conditions and drivers.

Skills, knowledge and experience

• Proven track record in management and delivery of winning proposals.

• A good understanding of the relevant market sector, it’s players, and customer procuring procedures.

• Excellent PC skills including detailed knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project, Adobe InDesign and experience of other desk- top publishing packages

• Proactive approach to working, with the ability to meet challenging deadlines.

• Assumes responsibility and accountability.

• Excellent written communication skills with particular attention to the presentation and accuracy of information.

• Understanding of database systems to ensure in-house BIMS system is maintained and managed in the most effective manner and assisting in the generation of reports to aid the tender and management teams.
